Selecting the venue for your event is likely to be the most important decision you’ll have to make and you’ll want to get it absolutely spot on, especially when a large crowd is expected. At NH Hotel Group we are constantly striving to provide everything that you could possibly desire in our many venues around the world, and so we decided to have a look into how some of our congress and convention centers seem to have got things, as Goldilocks would put it, ‘just right’.
The Netherlands is home to one of our most prized possessions, the NH Noordwijk Conference Centre Leeuwenhorst. Boasting 123 meeting rooms you’re rarely going to go wanting and the added value is all around, with one fundamental objective: making your event a success. Take the majestic theater-like area, able to comfortably hold 2,000 guests while they absorb the message being delivered, and the lobby and terrace areas we have created specifically to allow those key informal discussions to take place.
As you’ll find in all our establishments, flexibility is one of our strengths, and the scope that we have to allow event personalization in Leeuwenhorst amplifies this further enabling us to suitably accommodate events that involve large-scale banquets all the way down to those neat little snack and coffee break-out areas. That freedom to make things personal is something we have found goes down really well with the event bookers we have partnered with to date, whether it be the decoration for a conference room or a specially designed menu for the guests to delight over. And our chefs are more than happy to put forward some marvelously creative ideas of their own.
One final aspect stands out at this conference center that sits between Amsterdam and The Hague: technology. When Fiat Professional wanted a venue for their training of the 2016 automobile range, they chose one of our convention centers. Salesmen from Europe, the Middle East and beyond flocked to the northern Italian city of Milan and, as well as being impressed with the facilities on offer, were delighted with the spacious areas to showcase the vehicles themselves, both outside and inside the hotel. This was something they hadn’t previously considered and as their training manager, Dario D’Aquino, said: ‘‘The chance to show vehicles inside meeting rooms was really an incredible added value to our training.”
Our Milanese center has had some very positive feedback ever since the 2015 refurbishment and with 43 conference rooms – the largest holding up to 1,600 people – and a huge exhibition space, we’ve been able to partner with some incredibly talented event managers to make their ideas come alive.
Our final example from our range of centers takes you to the Silicon Valley of Europe, Eindhoven. Some of our most spectacular events have taken place at the NH Eindhoven Conference Centre Koningshof, and our 83 meeting rooms of different dimensions and shapes give such flexibility to planners that our team there is always bursting to get involved in the next challenge set.
