This David Lynch classic is a masterpiece that draws viewers into a visually dreamy universe that, for many, still remains strong in their memory. Everyone can relate to the use of the deep reds and that are iconic of the show. So why not find that visual trick that will grab the attention of your attendees during and after the event. Design a 360º creative idea and stick with it in every detail of your event. From decoration to communications, F&B, like our Tempting Breaks, or social networks… If your event is given a personality consistent from the beginning to the end (if not after also), your attendees will have a context to successfully welcome and understand your messages.
You don’t have to look any further to find a venue that recreates that Twin Peaks vibes. Just have a look at NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and its black and white tiled floor. Or try NH Collection México City Santa Fe, where the roof displays the same pattern. With a bit of inspiration you will be able to easily fashion your event into a Twin Peaks frame.

One of the first tv shows to take advantage of social networks, each episode had the ability to produce a thousand conversations across the internet; those with questions, those with theories and those with predictions about what would happen next. One thing that was certain about the show, is the mystery that was right in front of our eyes and the need to find a way to understand it. Why not search for an element within the upcoming theme that can be given a mysterious twist. It could be something subtle to begin with, that grows more significant as the event draws closer. If you can create a sense of mystery regarding an aspect of the proceedings, you will generate much buzz and awareness about your event and your product.

Matthew Weiner replicated the 50’s and 60’s to the minutest of details which had all manner of architects, designers and fashionistas brimming with excitement with every passing episode and season. The nostalgia created was one that many could identify with and connected with those who had not lived through those times but were intrigued by that sensual sense of vintage that it was bursting with. The allure of vintage isn’t specific to one decade, so explore those design elements that can be brought into your next event to set the perfect mood from which to launch your message. Then whether this is communicated through your social media and dress code is up to you.

An incredible concept based on the 1973 film of the same name, written and directed by Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park). This not so unrealistic idea sees technology being used in ways that succumbs to the needs of human vice and escapism. Technology here is being used in ways that, though futuristic, we can see how easy it would be to adapt to the idea if it were to become available. The show brings the future closer in a subtle and possible manner. Integrating a new app or a surprising widget into your event would help create unforgettable experiences for your attendees to take away with them.

Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Jaime Lannister, Daenerys… you can love them or hate them, but no one is indifferent towards them. People have been following the ordeals of these fiction characters for many years now and we can’t help but to relate to them in one way or another and whether for good or for bad, we want to see the most powerful succeed. Wouldn’t you like to have a speaker like Tyrion Lannister at your event, some to command the show just like the protagonists of Game of Thrones? Identify the top speakers of your industry or those that know how to play against the energy of the attendees and take them to your event. It’s all about charisma from the classical.

Ryan Murphy’s hit show is as vast as it is mesmerizing and is a testament to the power of reinvention. With a cast that has barely changed over the years, the characters that have been produced and explored are endless. Being able to create a show that communicates personal themes through unexpected relationships and making it new every season is no easy feat but it’s possible. If you have a periodic event, one that you must plan every year, do not be repetitive. Take note of Murphy’s solutions to surprise his audience every year. Reinvent with each year yet ensure that thread of connection is observed from one to the other.
