Hologram

5:00 p.m. A meeting. A team. A project to evaluate. This situation is a daily occurrence in millions of companies around the world. But it’s the way in which we organise our meetings that has begun to change course.

Rufino Pérez, CCO of NH Hotel Group, was recently interviewed for the website Meetings & Conventions. The main topic was NH’s company’s commitment to the latest in technological meetings, or in other words, technological innovation centred around meetings.

During the interview, Rufino Pérez revealed the hotel chain’s most cutting-edge technological improvements in matters of meetings and events. One of the reference hotels is the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding. Have you seen their impressive vaulted LED screen? It is the largest one in Europe, equipped with spacial sound. The space can also be customised with ad-hoc content to welcome attendees, with the possibility of broadcasting events, and allowing participants to experience the image, lights, and sound like nothing they’ve ever seen before – a fantastic show that is also environmentally friendly thanks to its smart energy management system.

And, taking things a step further, NH Hotel Group offers technologies such as life-size 3D holographic projections that make it possible for CEOs and celebrities to participate through telepresence. This technology has already been used by public figures such as Hugh Jackman, allowing him to fit appearances at events into his busy schedule by attending from the distance.

It is undeniable: the technological innovation of events is a reality. And, thanks to these advancements, events are more efficient and more successful. Now, event planners can increase their productivity and reduce their costs, overcoming the usual obstacles of time and distance.

It is also an unstoppable trend: the development of new tools for improving meeting experiences continues unabated. It is up to us to choose the elements that best meet our needs and those of our attendees.
