Sustainable Meetings & Events
Scaling up our events in a sustainable way
It’s more important than ever to do the right thing for the destinations and their local communities. Under the umbrella of our “Up for Planet & People” sustainability strategy, we work to ensure that every meeting and event held at our hotels has the greatest positive impact on the planet.

Carbon
Footprint
We are committed to reducing carbon emissions for all our events.
How do we reduce the carbon footprint of our events?
In our commitment to combat climate change, our priority is to reduce as much as possible the carbon emissions of our sustainable meetings and events. Those that cannot be avoided are offset through projects that contribute to the conservation of nature and biodiversity in the areas we operate in. In this way, by using the HCMI (Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative) methodology, we are committed to calculate and offset the carbon footprint attributed to relevant events held at our hotels.
We also work with Retree in its mission to reforest valuable natural areas, create rural employment and combat climate change. So far, our “Forest Project”, located in the Sierra Norte de Madrid, has already planted 2,533 native trees, which is equivalent to absorbing 612.79 tonnes of CO2. The forest is located in the “Valley of Dreams”, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2005.
