Big room, comfortable bed and easy parking. Close to the center and to the port was a plus. The staff were friendly and helpful with all my wishes and despite being close to the port the room as quiet.
A convenient stop to board or rest on disembarking the ferry to/from Greece. A walk along the waterfront or to the picturesque old quarter of the town is well within reach. The hotel's restaurant is a pleasant surprise for the evening meal and the breakfast buffet is well provided. The bar is slightly characterless.
This hotel is right above the port in Ancona, a great view but a nasty part of town. I didn't know that. This was an overnight stop after a day of driving, to be followed by another day of driving south. I booked NH because they are pet friendly and good hotels. To our great dismay, the restaurant was closed on the Friday night (on weekends in general). So the nice romantic evening and meal to chill after a day in the car did not happen. We couldn't go out to a restaurant because the car was packed and we didn't want to park on the street, especially not in this part of town. So we ordered out for pizza and the hotel graciously (and expensively!) sold us a bottle of wine.
