We enjoyed our stay at the Porto Batalha. It was a lovely property with the amenities you would expect in a top hotel. Service was very good, hotel was clean and rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Location was central to anywhere we wanted to go in the city. Would definitely recommend staying there. Only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is on small pedestrian plaza, so there really isn't an easy way for a car, cab or Uber to pull up in front of the hotel. (At the far end of the plaza a pole has been removed, so with a little navigating, you can get to the front, but it's really only for luggage pick up and drop off. ) otherwise, we took Ubers and had no difficulty meeting up with them next to the hotel or in front of the plaza.
