We were in the area for a concert in Gelsenkirchen, but decided to stay in Essen as there were more things to do, and it is very quick and easy to get to Gelsenkirchen by public transport from Essen. The hotel is a nice 10 minute walk through the town centre from the main station. We loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms (and the entire hotel) were nice and clean, the shower was amazing. The evening reception and bar staff were exceptional (all staff were very helpful, but they were the ones we had most interaction with), and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had anywhere! Highly recommended!
