Metro: L8 to Nuevos Ministerios then metro L6 to Diego de León. It'a a 46 minutes trip. If you are in the city for a few days buy a T-10, Multi-person card for 10 journeys, (€12,20). It works on the bus too.
Taxi: It's a 20-30 minutes trip and is around €30.
Aerobus shuttle: Drops off at Atocha, Cibeles (night) and O'Donell-Doctor Esquerdo to Airport T1,T2 and T4 and costs 5€. Bus: Line 200 to Av America then metro L7 to Parque de las Avenidas stop. It's a 53 minutes trip.
From Atocha: cercanías C3, C4 to Puerta del Sol then metro L2 to Ventas.
Closest metro station: Ventas (L2).

Lovely, stylish, conveniently located hotel -- with pool. Breakfast is absolutely amazing! Lunch on the terrace was also pretty excellent. Quite hotel, with all the amenities you need for a short stay.
Really loved my time here at the NH Ventas. Felt super homey, and the breakfast was incredible. There were lots of little touches that made me really feel comfortable here. The room was always cleaned really well, and the pool also was an enjoyable touch.
what I can say in 3 sentences: all was perfect during my business trip. It's a quiet place I have apreciate that the hotel have booked a taxi for me at 5.15 am and when I when I made my check out the taxi driver as here, on time.
