A very comfortable stay

My second stay at this hotel. This visit I opted to upgrade my booking to a superior room but purely based on extra cost, I would probably choose a standard room if I stayed here again. There didn't seem to be a lot of extras to justify the increased cost. The room was quiet and I slept well. Breakfast was very good. The only problem I encountered was that when I returned to the hotel mid afternoon, a large group (over 20 people) of overseas guests were checking in. Communication between them and the reception staff seemed to be difficult. It was a very noisy, chaotic scenario and I waited a long time to use the elevator. I was on the top floor and I have mobility issues so can’t use the stairs.

Handy Location

Location opposite to the Pisa Centrale Railway Station and close to the Pisa Airport is a big plus. Also Pisa is relatively small so most areas are within in easy walking distance, selection of restaurants near by. We had a balcony/terrace down stair which did not really work as the door was swollen and could not be opened easily, and we could hear a low decibel humming sound in the room during the night .

NH Pisa - September stay.

Hotel opposite train station - very convenient short shuttle from airport takes you there. Hotel clean efficient & functional. No kettle or tea/coffee making facilites in room though. Entrance automatic doors opened out towards you so you had to stand back away from them before you could walk through. Good value for money

Perfect for our needs

We used this hotel as a stop over before a flight to Pisa. It’s location- literally across the road from the train station- was perfect for our needs. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

Tired

Perfect location from the station, literally over the road. On arrival the entrance was modern and clean. Receptionist was very pleasant and answered all our questions. The room however was tired/dated and not consistent with the entrance at all. The shower was tatty and leaked. The breakfast buffet was ridiculously over priced for what it was and the staff in there were rude and ignored my question. Luckily the hotel was a stop over for us before travelling the next day, i would not enjoy it for longer than a night.

Ordinary

Overall this hotel is tired and does not live up to its 4 star standard. Breakfast is limited with the ‘hot’ items repeatedly cold - we stayed 3 nights. The staff are friendly and check in/ out was convenient. Opposite train station.

NH Pisa Hotel - Superior Room Booking

Our rating reflects the issue that we encountered below:- We had specifically booked a Superior Room as the pictures on the website showed them with a balcony. When we arrived our room did not have a balcony. Reception informed us that only 4 or 5 rooms have a balcony and we had not been assigned one of these notwithstanding that we had requested a room with a balcony when making the booking circa. 6 weeks beforehand. The pictures of the Superior Rooms on the website is misleading. The person that we spoke to at Reception acknowledged that we had requested a room with a balcony but offered nothing to compensate us for not assigning one of the rooms to us. Very unprofessional.
