Renting a car or a scooter is a great option if you prefer planning your own excursions and moving freely and at your own pace around the island. It will cost you from 1.000 to 2.000 baht per day for a car (depending on the size of the car you rent) and around 200 baht per day for a scooter. Please be extremely careful when renting one of these transports because the traffic in Koh Samui can be chaotic.

There is usually a sign indicating where the truck is heading to so you can choose if it suits your destination, if not, you can always ask the driver who will help you.
