Furthermore, one of Seville’s most important festivities takes place in this month, so this is the main reason where to travel in April to this city: Holy Week comes with several celebrations and a large procession. Budapest

Visit the Easter Markets on the Old Town Square for traditional food and ornamental products or the wide-ranging attractions of the St. Matthew’s Fair, one of the city’s biggest events.

Stroll through the city as you enjoy the spring weather and visit major landmarks like the Municipal House, the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge or the Clementinum. The city is also home to a fantastic collection of museums that includes the National Museum and the Jewish Museum.

Hamburg

Hamburg is another one of our choices for where to go in April for pleasant weather and stunning architecture and sights. The average daily high and low temperatures are of 12ºC and 5ºC, which means you can explore the city by foot as you discover iconic landmarks like the Deichstrasse street featuring some of the oldest buildings in the city and the St. Michael’s Church, one of the most stunning baroque churches you’ll ever see.

Munich

Munich—the capital and most populous city in the Bavaria region of Germany—is one of our choices of the best places where to travel in April thanks to the pleasant weather (average daily high temperature of 14ºC) and events like Springfest, a beer festival similar to Oktoberfest.

Must-see attractions include the Marienplatz square in the city’s historic center (which is surrounded by historic buildings), the popular Viktualienmarkt food market, the Frauenkirche church, and museums like the BMW Museum, the Residenz Museum, and the Deutsches Museum.

Rome

If you are thinking about visiting Rome, April is an ideal month to do so. Legend has it that Rome was founded on April 21, 753 BCE and the Rome’s birthday celebrations include historical re-enactments and parades, all free to attend. You can also visit the famous municipal Rose Garden, which is only open for a few weeks every year, from late April to early June.

Major attractions include the Vienna State Opera, the Belvedere Palace, the Prater amusement park, and the Stadtpark municipal park.

Frankfurt

Frankfurt is one of Germany’s most important cities and has plenty of touristic attractions and landmarks. Visit during April to enjoy the pleasantly mild weather (the average daily high and low temperatures are of 16ºC and 6ºC) and to experience its annual spring festival, known as Frankfurt Dippemess, featuring rides, roller coasters, and fireworks.
