8. Cape St. Vincent

A major historical site for being the first land that the Portuguese saw when they returned to Lagos after their famous explorations. Here you’ll find spectacular cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. The lighthouse features a cafeteria and a lookout.

9. Lagos

This is where the first expeditions departed from. Its center is very medieval, ideal for exploring on foot. Its coastline is also worth seeing. Don’t miss the walls, the church of Saint Anthony, the Wax Museum of Discoveries and its promenade.

10. Portimão

A great place to spend a most relaxing day. Highlights include a stroll along the Ribeirinha, the church of the College, Republic Square, the museum and its streets.
