Camp Nou: Football’s greatest venue

Camp Nou is rightly regarded as one of the most famous sporting venues in the world. Home to the staggeringly successful FC Barcelona, this sporting arena can hold nearly 100,000 passionate Barcelona fans. Opened in 1957, Camp Nou - which in English translates as ‘The New Ground’ - has been home to some of football’s greatest players, including Ronaldinho, Diego Maradona, Ronaldo, and the incomparable Lionel Messi, Barcelona’s current main man and one of the world’s greatest players. Whether it’s watching a Barcelona match or taking a tour of the stadium and visiting the museum, a trip to this spectacular stadium is a must do for any keen football lover.

Camp Nou Experience

The Camp Nou Experience is one of the most visited attractions in Catalonia. On this self-guided tour, you’ll visit all the main points of interest within the stadium, including the changing rooms, the tunnel to the pitch, the dugout, press room, the president’s box and the press boxes. At the start of the tour you’ll be treated to a 3D ‘virtual experience’ of being on the pitch on match day. The tour concludes with a visit to the museum, which houses memorabilia and trophies from Barcelona’s history.

Seeing a match at the Camp Nou

Although Barcelona are one of the world’s biggest clubs, the large, 100,000 capacity stadium means it’s not as difficult to get tickets to a match as you might expect (unless it’s a big match, such as against Real Madrid). Buy your tickets online or at the ticket office located at the ground, and get ready to see some world-class footballers going for victory!
