Most beautiful building in Brussels

The magnificent Royal Palace of Brussels is the most beautiful building in Brussels. This is where the King and Queen of Belgium host visiting heads of state and conduct royal formalities, with all the pomp and sophistication to match. Located in the historic Kunstberg district of Brussels, the Palace was built between 1820 and 1934, and features stunning neoclassical architecture. The park that surrounds the palace, Warandepark, dates back to 1776 and is just as impressive as the palace and features monuments, water fountains, ponds, and more.

How to visit the Royal Palace of Brussels

The Royal Palace of Brussels is an important Brussels attraction, but there are restrictions on when you can visit. As it’s a functional palace used for events, the building is only open to the public for a limited period each year, which is normally when the King and Queen are away on holiday and royal duties are on standby. Ordinarily, the palace is open from late July to early September. Not all rooms are accessible to the public, but many of the most interesting and ornate ones are, and it’s well worth visiting if you’re in Brussels during this time.

Royal Palace of Brussels from the outside

If you don’t have to step inside to appreciate the beauty of the palace, the view from the outside is just as impressive. Take a stroll around the gardens and bring your camera along to snap some pictures. The park also hosts weekly parties and events that are open to the public. Details can be obtained from the offical palace website.
