Internorga in Hamburg: The trade show for the catering industry

At the Trade Fair Centre in Hamburg you are bound to find an event that piques your interest. If you have connections with the catering industry, or simply a love of food and drink, do not miss Internorga. This is the International Trade Show for Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Baking and Confectionery. The fair takes place in March and is open from 10:00 till 18:00. A day ticket is priced at 31€, and a two day ticket is 39.50 €. Trade tickets are available for those who work in the industry at 16 €.

Nordstil Messe Hamburg: The retail trade show

Nordstil is an impressive trade fair in the centre of Hamburg. Showcasing the most innovative, interesting and enjoyable products and services in retail, you will not regret making this part of your experience of Germany. Categories include interior design, jewellery, well-being and stylish lifestyle items. Part of German National Order Days, Nordstil takes place in July between 09:00 and 18:00 on Saturday and Sunday, and 09:00 until 17:00 on Monday. The price of entry is announced by the Hamburg Messe a short time before the event begins.

SMM Exhibition: The maritime trade show

The ultimate source of insider tips, hints and professional insight for those who work in the maritime industry, SMM attracts a global audience. The trade fair brings together participants from the shipbuilding, port technology and offshore industries together between every September. Details of times and ticket prices are released just before the event begins.

Trade fairs in Hamburg with a difference

The Wind Energy trade fair in Hamburg takes place in September and is an international event that is sure to be of practical use and interest to anyone who is interested in or professionally involved with alternative sources of energy. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary and you love all things boat related, Hanseboot is well worth a visit. It takes place in October and November and is open from 10:00 until 18:00 on Saturday and Sunday, as well as from midday until 20:00 Monday to Friday. Information on ticket prices for both fairs will available close to the start of events.
The Hamburg Tattoo Convention allows visitors to enjoy the work of tattoo artists from all over the world as well as fire shows, pole dancing and burlesque shows. The fair takes place in March and tickets cost 18 € each. Alternatively, for a tastebud tickling tour of German spirits you cannot fail to appreciate Hanse Spirit. Held in February of each year at the Hamburg exhbibition halls.

Places to visit in Hamburg

Having enjoyed the trade fairs, or even the Model-making trade fair in Hamburg, you will no doubt be hungry and thirsty. Bullerei serves a sumptous steak and is easy to find opposite the Sternschanze underground station. Carls, a five minute walk from the U3 Baumwall Metro station, serves sophisticated Northern German food with a French edge.

The Hamburger Dom fairground features fun for all ages and is easily accessible via subway (U2 exhibition halls, U3 Feldstrase, or U3 St. Pauli), bus (Metrobus 3 or Night bus 602), or, via bicycle through Hamburg's city wide hire scheme.
