São Pedro de Alcântara Viewpoint

Located inside the São Pedro de Alcântara Garden in Bairro Alto, you can access the interior taking the Glória Lift from the Plaça dos Restauradores.

At the viewpoint there is a tile map you should check out that will help you learn more about the views in front of you and find and locate each building.

Without a doubt, it is one of the best viewpoints to admire a beautiful view of São Jorge Castle, the Cathedral and the historic center of Lisbon.

Graça Viewpoint

This is located next to the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça near São Jorge Castle. The name that this viewpoint has taken on today is Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, in honour of the poet, but locals continue to refer to it as the Graça viewpoint.

It is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset while having a drink in the cafeteria.

Portas do Sol Viewpoint

This is one of the best viewpoints in Alfama located next to the Church of Santa Lucia. From the top of this site you can admire the labyrinth of houses and streets the make up the city’s oldest neighborhood. There are several trams that will leave you right in front of the viewpoint, so it is easily accessible.

Santa Justa Lift Viewpoint

A lift will take you up to Bairro Alto, where you can access the viewpoint. Keep in mind that the ticket is paid separately from the lift, but the views are really worth it. This is one of the highest points in the historic center, and from it you can see São Jorge Castle, Baixa and dozens of colored roofs.

Terraces of Lisbon: Attic by NH

The hotel NH Collection Lisboa Liberdade is located on Avenida Liberdade. It is part of the Baixa neighborhood, and the Santa Justa Lift is close by. The hotel's Attic is located on the eleventh floor and has an outdoor pool and a wide range of exclusive cocktails. You can also enjoy a nice dinner with Portuguese recipes at the restaurant 'do Teatro'.
