Featuring 1,300 performers across 15 stages – the North Sea Jazz Festival is Holland’s greatest jazz spectacle and attracts some 65,000 visitors to Rotterdam every year. From July 12-14, not only the Ahoy Arena will be the center of music – the whole of Rotterdam will be the capital of jazz for a full three days. The highlight of the festival is the Paul Acket Award for talented young artists.

Concerts and performances, street festivals and processions – every year at Whitsun, Berlin stages its Carnival of Cultures to show just how colorful multiculturalism really can be. In traditional dress and imaginative costumes, people from all over the world provide inspiration for the capital. A touch of jazz, a little Japanese – there’s no mistaking the celebrations in Düsseldorf! With some 300,000 visitors, the Jazz Rally is Germany’s largest jazz festival – featuring funk, soul and blues as well as international greats such as Gregory Porter. Concerts in tents, clubs and open air will be taking place from May 28th - 31st 2020 at a wide range of venues.
Boasting one of the largest Japanese communities in Europe, Düsseldorf will be organizing the 19th edition of its Japan Day on May 16th 2020 with music, dance, sport and culinary attractions from the land of the rising sun – and with an impressive firework display at night. Some half a million guests are expected on the banks of the Rhine.

But not the port of Hamburg, which will again be receiving visitors with open arms in its relaxed northern style for the 831st anniversary – to celebrate the world’s largest port birthday. The Berlinale – cinema in grand style! Every year, one of the most important international film festivals presents some 400 films from all genres in its public program – most of them are world and European premieres. Cinema fans from all over convene on the River Spree to enjoy the long and short stories of life together with the fictional stories and real-life dramas: from February 20th - March 1st 2020.
During Berlin’s Festival of Lights, artists come to the capital from all over the world to illuminate the buildings and squares, churches, museums and monuments in a multitude of colours and shades from 7.00 p.m. to midnight.

National Museum Week from April 8-14 is the perfect showcase for some 400 museums in the Netherlands, of which around 20 alone are in Amsterdam. Apart from the greatly reduced prices, visitors can also take advantage of special events such as workshops, guided tours and concerts.
The Holland Festival is the largest and oldest festival for performing arts in the Netherlands. Music, theater, dance, architecture, literature and fine art all feature on the program in Amsterdam’s traditional city theater, the Stadsschouwburg on Leidseplein square, from May 31 - June 10.

In 40 different concepts, international artists include light as part of the public city life while presenting the still young LED art form in abstract and figurative installations.

Star chefs – in the true sense of the word: from June 13-23, 22 guests at Dinner in the Sky will each be able to enjoy an exclusive and adventurous set menu composed by a star chef high above the roofs of Brussels.
