Olof’s is based in the Saint Olof’s Chapel, the oldest chapel of Amsterdam. This exquisite event venue dates back to the 15th century and is located in the heart of the historic center of the Dutch capital.

Do the acoustics in a chapel pose a challenge? Thanks to the smart choice for insulating materials when reconstructing this historic building in the early nineties, the acoustics at Olof’s are surprisingly good. Performers and visitors therefore have no reason at all to worry about the sound quality during a show. Visitors can enjoy a concert standing up, or sitting down in the hall or from the gallery for classical concerts. Lighting and sound systems are a standard feature. They are easy to operate or to adapt according to one’s requirements.
A unique, centuries-old chapel. The world’s greatest DJs played at Olof’s during the Amsterdam Dance Event. Olof’s suddenly became the intimate setting for an unprecedented Dance event which attracted over 500 visitors every night. The chapel has an extraordinarily good vibe and can stay open until 1 am. Visitors can be welcomed at Olof’s own entrance on the Zeedijk or at the corridor connecting the chapel to NH Collection Barbizon Palace. We like to help coordinate security, first aid, cloakroom, tokens and other logistical challenges.
You will of course want the surroundings to be appropriate to your message during a product or service launch. The location should therefore be representative as well as photogenic. Social media, bloggers, vloggers and influencers will take the time to cover the event so everything needs to be planned in detail. Can you picture your next launch in a unique, historic chapel? An award show deserves a grand location. A surprising place people don’t normally come to and one which reinforces the excitement of awaiting the outcome. A red carpet entrance on the Zeedijk, photographers who take photos of the guests against the backdrop of this historic chapel and, last but not least, a clearly visible sponsor wall. The technicians have carried out the final checks, the evening’s host goes over his lines one last time in his dressing-room. And the winner in the category best location for an award show is…Olof’s!
