1. The City of Arts and Sciences, and the Oceanographic
Without a doubt, one of the most important museums in the city. You will find there the Prince Felipe Sciences museum, L’Hemisfèric, and the Oceanographic, with the biggest aquariums in Europe. Without question, one of Valencia’s points of interest.

2. Plaza de la Virgen and its buildings.
If you like monuments, Plaza de la Virgen if a mandatory visit. Discover the Santa María Cathedral, the Palacio de la Generalidad, and the Basílica de la Virgen de los Desamparados.

3. Town Hall Square
If you like flowers, this is another square you cannot miss, and it is also close to Plaza de la Virgen. Its round fountain and flowers, not only in the gardens, but also in the stands, makes this square a beautiful place. Take a picture in front of the wonderful façade of the Casa Consistorial, (Town Hall). In front of it, you will find Casa de Correos y Telégrafos (Post Office headquarters), another amazing building to see.

4. The Central Market
If you like Mediterranean cuisine, you will absolutely enjoy the Central Market. Also, most of the best restaurants in Valencia are located here. Try the Central Bar by Chef Richard Camarena.

5. The Fish Exchange market
The Lonja de la Seda or Mercaderes was built between 1482 and 1548, and declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1986. Remember to visit the spectacular Sala de la Contratación.

6. The Turia Gardens
After plenty of floodings due to the Turia River’s overflow, authorities decided to divert the river bed to avoid disasters. In 1986, the park was constructed over the old river channel, becoming one of the biggest urban parks in Spain. If you want to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful moment, discover the Turia Gardens.

7. Bioparc
A must-see place if you visit Valencia with family. It’s not a typical zoo, it’s a place where they teach younger, as well as older, generations to love and respect animals. It has four natural African ambiences for a unique experience: wetlands, Savannah, Madagascar and equatorial forest.

8. The Albufera
If you want to get away from daily stress, nothing better than visiting the Albufera Natural Park. Go sailing and have a paella for lunch at the Palmar. Finish the day with a stroll around the Saler.
