The ideal setting for trade shows and exhibitions

Each year, Messe Berlin delivers some of the city’s largest and most important exhibitions and trade shows. The centre is located on Messedamm in the Charlottenburg district, which lies in the west of Berlin. The large exhibition hall offers plenty of space and an accessible layout suitable for a versatile range of requirements.
Construction of an exhibition building on the current site originally began in 1924, with further construction work during WWII in 1946. The site was officially named Messe Berlin in 1992 and has since hosted some of the world’s most important trade shows and commercial events.

Hosting events at Messe Berlin

The Messe Berlin complex offers many possibilities for layouts of stands and exhibits, all ensuring that vendors have access to water, electricity and gas. The total exhibition space available is more than 170,000 m2, distributed over 26 large rooms and halls. Besides its indoor facilities, Messe Berlin is also home to a beautiful outdoor garden space – the Sommergarten – which is available for exhibition purposes as well as serving as a tranquil rest spot for visitors. Messe Berlin is well equipped for events of all sizes and employs a helpful and talented team of staff who can aid with catering needs plus look after ticket sales and marketing of your event. This makes planning simple, no matter where in the world you are based.
Also part of the Messe Berlin complex are the CityCube Berlin and the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport. The CityCube Berlin – opened in 2014 – is located immediately adjacent to Messe Berlin and is an event space that can accommodate up to 11,000 people. It is an extension of the Messe Berlin space that can be rented separately or together to compliment existing events in the original space. The Berlin ExpoCenter Airport is located next to Schönefeld, one of Berlin’s two international airports.
Messe Berlin is dedicated to the highest environmental standards. Between 2005 and 2013, the centre lowered its CO2 emissions by 27% and more than 30% of the venue's electricity needs are fuelled by environmentally-friendly sources. Messe Berlin is therefore a safe and responsible choice of setting for your event.

Accessibility and accommodation

No matter how you plan to arrive into the city, Messe Berlin is easily accessible. The exhibition grounds are centrally located and connected via motorway to both of Berlin’s international airports. If travelling by car, there are more than 12,000 parking spaces available in the on-site car park and the area surrounding the grounds. Access to rail and underground links is easy as there is a station right next to the site. Messe Berlin can be reached on public transit by taking the U2 underground line and alighting at Theodor-Heuss-Platz. Messe Berlin is an attraction for both hosting exhibitioners and attending individuals, as visitors can easily combine trade show viewings with touristy pursuits at the nearby Tiergarten, Charlottenburg Palace or Berlin Zoo.
For those who wish to make use of accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the site, the NH Berlin Kurfürstendamm is the ideal Messe Berlin hotel. This hotel near Messe Berlin is sure to meet your every need so you can relax and unwind after a long, productive business day at the nearby exhibition or trade show.

Guest Relations Manager at NH Collection Berlin Mitte Friedrichstrasse

My name is David Rickerson-Seidel and I have been part of the NH Hotel Group since September 2015 when the first NH Collection Hotel opened in Germany. After 16 years of hotel experience, I was offered a great chance to meet people from all over the world and each time I was able to learn from them – this is one of the reason why I love my position as a Guest Relation Manager. My daily task is to fulfil our guest’s needs before they actually asking for it. With my passion for my job it is always a great pleasure to see our guests happy and smiling before they leave the hotel and I know that we have done the job right. I always say that the only thing that a guest can’t buy and book in advance is our smiling receptionist with a warm welcoming, the friendly breakfast host who would like to know if you slept well, and our elusive room maid, who is preparing the room so that it feels like home – our employees make the difference – this is why you are not checking into your room at a terminal. Whatever you need – we are always there for you.
