A la Becasse is one of the best in town. Located near the Grand Place, this unpretentious, homey pub is filled with wooden chairs and tables, a great atmosphere and even better beers. Their speciality is its white beer, which is actually served in a stone jug rather than the usual Belgian beer glass - but don’t let that hold you back, because it’s a totally different experience, as well as delicious.
A La Mort Subite opened its doors in 1928 and has been a popular drinking hole ever since. There are more than a hundred beers served in this brassy, atmospheric pub, which functions as a meeting spot for people from all walks of life.
If history is your thing, then do your drinking in the Au Bon Vieux Temps, which is located in Brussels' Old Town and has been in operation since 1695. A gorgeous wooden bar, along with 25 delicious beers, make this a great spot to spend a winter’s evening.
